PINOT BLANC

Bien Nacido Vineyard - Santa Maria Valley

"Honeysuckle, melon and golden delicious apple combine with pears, vanilla, white peaches and meyer lemon meringue with a delicate, clean finish."

Sourced from vines planted in 1997, Block D.  Soils are Mocho Series sandy loam with sandy substratum from recently deposited alluvium and are very well drained.  The grapes were hand harvested under lights at 23.4° Brix.  Whole cluster pressed, juice fermented in small stainless steel tanks with peak fermentation temperature 58°.  Fermentation completed after 14 days then
tank aged 8 months prior to bottling.

Wine Analysis: 13.2% Alcohol, .78 TA, 3.35 pH
